Our social workers assist in emotional and social support both at our centre and in the community.
They can provide quality advocacy in areas such as housing, crisis intervention, debt and mental health. They also provide practical and emotional support with issues connected to parenting. They sometimes act as skilled coordinators with other agencies and will help you access the support you need. Our social workers may assist you and your family in linking in with the local community in ways that improve well-being or think with you about ways to reduce harm or vulnerability.
Depending on the need, they may also do a thorough assessment of the needs of your family and in dialogue with the family make recommendations on a tailored package of support, provided by The Cherished Family Project.
